Drive over North Coast
Mountains into the forested foothills of
El Tucuche, the islands' second highest peak. Then an exhilarating hike through
mid-course terrain and wondrous rain forest vegetation.
We climb through
Giant trees, varying exotic plants, and a variety of Philodendrons
and see birds such as Euphonias, Tanagers, Honeycreepers, and small
mammals and river creatures and arrive at the pool of a two-hundred
foot waterfall for a swim before travelling via North coast beaches
back to Port of Spain. Isolated forest dwellers and people in the
small villages at the forest fringe welcome travelers and we may
spend some time meeting with them.
